In plain terms: We collect the minimum needed to run your account and searches — your email, a hashed password, your balance, and search activity for billing. We don’t sell your data. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us.

1. What we collect

Account: your email address and a securely hashed password.
Billing: your prepaid balance and a ledger of top-ups, charges, and refunds. Card details are processed by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number.
Usage: the searches you run (for metering, billing, and abuse prevention) and basic technical logs such as request timing and error information.
Anonymous visitors: a random identifier stored in a cookie to count free searches. No account is required and no personal profile is built.

2. How we use it

To operate your account, meter and bill searches, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data or share it for third-party advertising.

3. Cookies

We use a strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you logged in, and an anonymous counter cookie for free-search limits. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

4. Service providers

We rely on infrastructure and payment partners to host the Service, store data, and process payments. They handle data only to provide their service to us and under their own security obligations.

5. Data retention & security

We keep account and billing records while your account is active and as needed for legal and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymize them. Passwords are hashed, sessions are signed, and connections are encrypted in transit.

6. Your choices

You can log out, stop using the Service, or request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required by law.

7. Public web data

Search results come from publicly available web pages, not from our users. This policy covers the personal data of SearchWebCode account holders and visitors — not the content of the third-party pages we index.
